  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla
  • 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 5 slices bread
  • Margarine or butter
  • Maple syrup or powdered sugar
  1. In a shallow dish, beat together eggs, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon.
  2. Dip bread slices in egg mixture, turning to coat both sides.
  3. In a skillet or on a griddle, cook bread slices in hot margarine or butter over medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Add more margarine or butter as needed.
  4. Serve warm with maple syrup or powdered sugar.
