Servings are for 1 pizza.
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp black pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan
- Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in flour and continue whisking for 1-2 minutes. Do not let it brown.
- Slowly add milk, whisking constantly until smooth, thickened, and bubbly.
- Whisk in salt, pepper, and garlic. Cook for 1-2 minutes, whisking constantly.
- Add parmesan cheese and whisk another 30 seconds. Remove from heat and then set aside to cool before using for pizza. Once cooled, cover and regfrigerate for up to 5 days.
