Servings are for 1 pizza.

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan
  1. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in flour and continue whisking for 1-2 minutes. Do not let it brown.
  2. Slowly add milk, whisking constantly until smooth, thickened, and bubbly.
  3. Whisk in salt, pepper, and garlic. Cook for 1-2 minutes, whisking constantly.
  4. Add parmesan cheese and whisk another 30 seconds. Remove from heat and then set aside to cool before using for pizza. Once cooled, cover and regfrigerate for up to 5 days.
